OFFICIAL: West Ham sign Pablo Zabaleta on a free transfer from Man City

West Ham have confirmed the signing of Pablo Zabaleta on a free transfer following his release from Manchester City. The right-back has put pen to paper on a two-year contract, believed to be worth about £90,000 a week. It makes Zabaleta, 32, the first major summer signing of Slaven Bilic. Zabaleta's arrival will push Sam Byram down the pecking order while forgotten man Alvaro Arbeloa is set to leave the club. Arsenal make Alexis Sanchez huge £270,000 offer to stay at the Emirates

Arsenal have made another offer to contract rebel Alexis Sanchez in a bid to keep him from Bayern Munich’s clutches. The deal is understood to be about £270,000 a week, short of the £300,000 the Chile star is demanding. However, the offer is loaded with incentives taking it closer to the figure he wants.
