Juventus to lunch Female team for 2017/18 season

Juventus have officially confirmed that they will enter a women’s team into next year’s Serie A Femminile.


Bianconeri general manager Giuseppe Marotta confirmed last month that they were planning to launch a senior women’s team, as they already have female youth teams.

Now the club has officially confirmed on its Twitter profile that a women’s team will compete in Serie A Femminile next season.

Fiorentina won the League this season, winning 22 of their 21 games and finishing eight points ahead of Brescia.

The top-scorer in this season’s campaign was Scottish international Lana Clelland of UPC Tavagnacco with with 23 goals.

Sergio Aguero joins the 200 club

The Argentine has now broken into the 200 club after netting the opener in the Community Shield against Chelsea on Sunday. He is now part of a select group to have notched a double ton for a single club in English football, joining a host of legends in the game Most recently it was Wayne Rooney who joined that list on his way to 253 goals for Manchester United. Before the Everton striker there was Frank Lampard, who reached 211 goals at Chelsea, and Thierry Henry, the only player to net over 200 times for Arsenal. Arsenal make Alexis Sanchez huge £270,000 offer to stay at the Emirates

Arsenal have made another offer to contract rebel Alexis Sanchez in a bid to keep him from Bayern Munich’s clutches. The deal is understood to be about £270,000 a week, short of the £300,000 the Chile star is demanding. However, the offer is loaded with incentives taking it closer to the figure he wants.
